Sorter for Instagram ("the extension") does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. What you do with the extension stays in your browser.

No data collection

The extension does not collect your name, email address, browsing history, or any other personal information.

No data transmission

Everything the extension does happens locally in your browser. It sends nothing to any server — ours or anyone else's. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.

Instagram data

To sort posts, the extension reads data (such as like counts, comment counts, and view counts) from Instagram profile pages you are already signed into and viewing. This data is used only to display the sorted grid on your screen. It never leaves your browser.

Settings

Your sort preferences are saved in your browser's local storage so the panel remembers them. They are never transmitted anywhere.

Permissions used and why

  • Host access to instagram.com — required to read the Instagram profile pages you visit, so their posts can be sorted.
  • Storage — required to remember your sort preferences between visits.
