Janice Soprano: Chaos in Human Form

Watch: Janice Soprano: Chaos in Human Form

Mobsters Daily

Janice Soprano leaves every room worse than she found it: a trail of dead boyfriends, borrowed identities, and schemes that make her brother look stable. Watch the video above, then read the Janice file.

Aida Turturro plays Janice as Livia's true heir, the family damage in its purest form: manipulative, grandiose, and always one reinvention away from respectability, as a Christian singer, a grieving widow, a born-again, a mob wife. Her body count is real: she kills Richie Aprile and saves Tony the trouble, then parlays widowhood into Bobby Baccalieri's house. The show's bleak joke is that Janice is the family member best built to survive it, because she alone feels no guilt she can't rename as growth.

Quick answer: Janice is Livia's daughter in every way that matters: chaos, manipulation, zero lasting remorse, and she outlasts almost everyone.
